The City pays all premiums for the employee’s dental, long-term disability protection, and life insurance and the majority portion of the medical premium for employees.
Retirement Plans
The City of Lake Jackson is part of the Texas Municipal Retirement System, which operates retirement programs for many Texas cities. TMRS is a qualified retirement plan under Section 401(a) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS)
Eligible employees will gain membership at a 6% contribution rate with a 2:1 employer match.
