Animal Control | Humane Department

Responsibilities

The Animal Control Department is a division of the Lake Jackson Police Department and under the command of the Animal Control Lieutenant. Animal Control Officers are responsible for enforcing the city ordinances and the state laws pertaining to animals; wild and domestic. They are available seven days a week, patrolling the city and educating the public through handouts and educational programs. The department strives to reduce the number of strays, nuisance, and abused animals by holding owners responsible for their pets.
