Major Accident/Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon arrest
For immediate release March 4, 2026On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Lake Jackson Police, Fire, and EMSresponded to the 300 block of southbound Highway 288 for a major two-vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, first responders determined that a red 2016 Toyota, driven by 34-year-old Nicholas Vivier of League City, was traveling northbound when it crossed the grassy median and collided with a white 2025 GMC truck traveling southbound. The GMC truck was driven by a 77-year-old male from Lake Jackson and had a 71-year-old female passenger also from Lake Jackson.
Lake Jackson EMS transported Nicholas Vivier and both occupants of the GMC truck to CHI St.Luke’s Emergency Room. Nicholas and the 77-year-old male were treated for non-life-threateninginjuries. The 71-year-old female sustained serious injuries and was later transferred to MemorialHermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. Her condition is unknown at the time of this release.
The investigation determined that Nicholas Vivier intentionally crossed the grassy median to cause a crash. After being released from the hospital, he was transported to the Brazoria County Jail and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
